ACUPUNCTURE FOR ANXIETY, STRESS, AND DEPRESSION

Acupuncture has gained recognition as an effective treatment for anxiety, helping to alleviate symptoms and promote overall well-being. Research indicates that this ancient practice may help reduce levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, while simultaneously increasing the release of endorphins, leading to a calming effect. Patients often report experiencing reduced tension, improved mood, and enhanced relaxation after acupuncture sessions, making it a valuable option for those seeking natural relief from anxiety, and stress.

FROM “THE BLUES” TO A TREATMENT PLAN

In my practice, I have worked with many people at both ends of the mental health spectrum. From mild anxiety, to more serious depression that is debillitating. Acupuncture has something to offer to each individual, no matter the severity.

Some people come to me feeling “off”- they are stressed in their family life, work is hectic, and the they are struggling in their daily lives. So they decide to use acupuncture to help manage their stress, take time for themselves, boost their immune system, and regain their equilibrium.

At the other end of the spectrum, I work with patients who have serious depression and anxiety. Some of these patients integrate acupuncture as part of a larger western medical treatment plan. We don’t replace treatments from doctors, instead we work alongside them to give the patient a calmer and happier life by providing holistic care.

So no matter where you fall, we can tailor the acupuncture session to meet your needs, and it is my goal to guide you through these difficult times, with expertise, care and understanding.
